Gone are those days!

A friend of mine sent me this.... for a moment i was in my school days. Gone are the days........but not the memories ... Gone are the daysWhen the school reopened in June, And we settled in our new desks and benches. ... Gone are the daysWhen we queued up in book depot, And got our new books and notes. ... Gone are the daysWhen we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yetManaged to line up daily for the morning prayers. ... Gone are the daysWhen we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals, And returned to the classrooms drenched in sweat. ... Gone are the daysWhen we had lunch in classrooms, corridors,Playgrounds, under the trees and even in cycle sheds. .. Gone are the daysWhen a single P.T. period in the week's Time Table, Was awaited moreeagerly than the monsoons. ... Gone are the daysOf fights but no conspiracies,Of Competitions but seldom jealousy. .. Gone are the daysWhen we used to watch Live Cricket telecast,In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks. .. Gone are the daysWhen few rushed at 5:30 to"Conquer" window seats in our School bus. ... Gone are the daysOf Sports Day, and the annual School Day,And the one-month long preparations for them. ... Gone are the daysOf the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Exams,And the most enjoyed holidays after them. ... Gone are the daysWe learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, we lost, We laughed, we cried,we fought, we thought. ... Gone are the daysWith so much fun in them, so many friends,So much experience, all this and more. ... Gone are the daysBut not the memories, which will beLingering in our hearts for ever and ever andEver and ever and Ever. .. I hope you went back to your Golden Olden days.......... For a while..........as I DID!! Didnt u????

Online

There are a lot of technical ppl in india and still technology wise we are backward. I have been using netbanking for almost 3 years now, thanks to common wealth bank. Now in India i tried using it, it doesnt match what common wealth offered me 3 years back. Guys all said and done we are lagging a lot behind the westerners. A good example would be the motor bikes there and here, the best bike here will look like a moped there. check these two sites http://www.dancewithshadows.com/honda_unicorn_photo.asp http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/motor/index.htm?motor.asp The first one is decent good looking bike in India and the next one is normal bike in Australia, the latter looks like a dream bike here. Though i knowthat those bikes are just too much for indian roads, still why are lagging so much. With all the population to capitalise Indian government s doing nothing. No point bragging too much I got some details about the hi- end bikes in inda http://www.dancewithshadows.com/honda_unicorn_specs.asp Thats it for now gtg i am at vadapalani office, and i am done for the day.

Physics

I read this intresting article... http://www.blachford.info/quantum/gravity.html beware it is a big one to read... comments invited.

Old post of mine

This is the mail that I sent to the groups couple of years back...this mail was in response to the mails which wished me b'day. I thought that it should be in my blog.... so here it comes Hi guys and girls, Thanks a lot for your wishes. I had a nice birthday here with selva and nawaz. Its been a long time that i wrote something in the groups. i have been forwarding a lot of mails. I thought I will write something and I am writing about the small happenings in my lil life. I was feeling a little nostalgic on my b’day. and was thinking of school I remember right from school days. School days now seem so far away. I remember a weary-eyed me, queuing up when they sang the national anthem everyday. Fearful we were, then, of the dangerous future. Of the pressure of frightening educational goals like writing the alphabet in a straight line on those books that smelt so awesome. wowee life was so simple.... at least not at the so-young age of 19, when I watched them walk past, they looked pathetic and tried to fix their sight on every possible place other than humans. The first years had arrived. I felt really very happy from deep within myself, and felt my thoughts run away from the realities of the present to that day one year ago when…I entered the college as a fresher. There was a sudden change from 12 when I walked without any fear, I was self-assured of the fact that I was a member of the top class of the school. I Walked silently to the ED hall where our dear principal gave out a speech which was no doubt good enough, but I had a very bad habit which I guess I still have of sleeping without being tired and without any reason to sleep. Principal ended his speech by saying that classes would start the next day. Next day I went to the stop where the college bus would pick my up. There was a staff waiting for the bus, and there were few other students waiting for the bus. One guy approached me and asked which college? I hesitated but he said he was also a fresher and studied in SRM and asked about the college, I din say much but I said that from the principals speech there was no ragging in my college. The bus came and guess what he got into the bus; he was a third year guy happily getting into the back door. I tried to sit next to the lecturer, but he sent me back to where I was sure the seniors were awaiting my arrival, by tersely informing me that this seat was reserved for the staff. I placed myself gingerly on the seat near the person to whom I spoke in the bus stand, he did not smile. I gulped. He asked me my name in a tone that seemed almost like a bark. I answered in a low voice. He knew my name already but asked. The first thing he asked was tell me the names of girls from A –Z . The ordeal of thinking up names within a short interval was very strenuous, and for my intellect it was definitely hard and could not make it ahead of ‘I’. Those were the days I will never forget. Then came the last day of first year. The day I wrote the last exam I hoped the present first years would find their first years as 'lovable' as I did... (Evil grin). I read this and thought that it was really good Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."Richard Bach Coming to the final year, I am not very good in goodbyes. I am really terrified of them and even now. My goodbyes typically begin with a dismal attempt at not crying, followed by fairly violent hugs. College day is an exquisite example of chain reaction. One person started weeping and I remember a whole bunch crying at the end. I now think about the reason for this affliction. I mean, most times, the people leaving are not going to be totally out of touch. A very small percentage of them are actually going to disappear somewhere, but most of them will be email able, callable, some even meet able. Still, goodbyes hurt. I think that its because no matter how accessible the person is, things will never be the same again. I’LL never see them in the environment I saw them once. Those lovely days of going to a movie planned at the last moment dragging ppl like selva to Hindi movies and having fun there, or may it be celebrating friends birthday, it was fun and I miss it. Every person, especially a close friend, makes everyday life what it is. And I am really happy for the fact I am with two lovely guys here. And as the saying goes if good things lasted forever would we appreciate how precious they are? I miss you all. regards senthil natarajan

you long for the weekends... and they come and go in a blink of an eye. I always think of the lovely friday evening, i dont do anything great but still friday evenings are the best. Last week i was in ambattur attending OOAD programing. Coming week i will be going to greams road again. I bet going to greams road is lot more easier. All said and done chennai roads suck, with all the new cars and bikes , the roads are unbearable... can't help it anyway probably the roads are chennai's trademark. My parents are coming from Mumbai this week, eagerly waiting to see them...but then they will be here for only 3 days. I will probably buy a bike by the time they come here. Planning to buy Fiero F2. They bike looks decent with decent mileage and comfort. Haven't decided on it. I thought i will start writing intresting sms again here comes one:
Inky Pinky Ponky
Sms Padikidhu Donkey
Donkey smiles
cellPhone cries
Inky Pinky Ponky

Our Friendship has become

Even if you take out 'H'

Take out 'B'

Bye bye 2004

I always thought that Year 2004 was not at all a happening year for me, but this year was the most devastating year in Peace times. The most celebrated week of a year around the world would definitely be the last week. Starting from Christmas to New year day. 2004's boxing day will be remembered for Natures fury. I have heard of Tsunami before, but never imagined that it would even visit India. It has left a lasting impression to those who have survived. As in the words of Collin powell "I haven't seen a battle field like this in my whole life" after seeing Banda Aceh. Those who want to do something about this just have a look at this site http://tsunamihelp.blogspot.com/ With all the modern technology and all the latest western Medicines we are still helpless to Mother Nature. Help is coming from all over the world, Nations are already pledging record amounts to those who are affected. The only concern now is how does all the money and relief material reach the actual affected people. People in Europe observed 3 mins silence and in India, media is just trying to politicize this issue. i keep seeing movie which say that india will become vallarsu(super power), i just hope in years to come india becomes nallarusu(good government). You dont have to be citizen to realise, one has to be a human. I am in mumbai and i bet half the people wont even know what is happening down south .... sick

kolumbu

Vetri and gv came here saturday night, i made potato gravy for the night as vetri came with chicken and chips. Watched TV and slept early that day. Sunday was fun, gv made his so called vatha kolombu, vetri made vendakaai poriyal and i just helped them. Though vatha kolumbu was not what it meant to be, but it was nice. We played shuttle in the evening and then went outside to have dinner. Vetri got us some sweets as he has become 'mama'. Gv left late evening and vetri stayed. Monday morning parents returned from s'pore. Yesterday whole day i was just talking to them asking about the place and looking at thier shopping. Thats the reason no blogs for two days. Today i spoke with deepak trehan, my DAV school mate after almost 2 years. He is in haridwar now working for BHEL and said that he is going to banglore this month end and might meet me on the way. If i meet him it will be more than 8 years since we last met each other. Once he came to chennai and was on his way to kerala. He was with his college friends on a college tour, but i missed him by mins. I hope this time i make it in time. sms time:

sms of the day:

Thats all i have for the day, hopefully will get more intresting ones tomm. and with that i am signing off for the day.

Weird things happen to my computer, and today it behaved very badly. It automatically got connected to some stupid connection and loads only one page - some messenger page, it does not access any other site. I cleared the cache and still it loads whenever i open the browser. I cant see any icon on my task bar. The phone line becomes busy and i dont know how to stop it. The only solution was to reboot. After rebooting it automatically got connected. I just got fed up and turned it off. Now i started it and it is working properly! hmmm..... i need to consult my expert -google. Nawaz called me today, he is coming in 10 days and obviously he is excited about the trip. Selva asusual is very busy it seems. No idea what alex is doing, i guess he must be bit upset that is not going to make it this christmas. Vetri and gv are coming and hopefully i will cook something for them. I spoke with shyam yesterday, he is in bangalore now and learning J2EE. Spoke to him after a very long time, he is still same... warm and welcoming. I might go to bangalore next month and might see him. No news from bharathi and i have no idea what he is doing. Ok guys its sms time

SmS

It was a beautiful day to start, it was cold in the morning and then it was very pleasant. Washed my clothes had a good shower and i am just enjoying the day. It is evening now, studied very little. I get distracted very easily now a days. Dinner is alomost ready, i dunno if GV is coming home! he said that he will call me. It was fun last three days. Vetri said that he cannot make it today as he has loads of work in the office. Parents called me, dads training is over and they are coming back on monday. They are just left with saturday and sunday to look around , but i was told thats enough to see s'pore.
sms of the day:
You are the best heart
surgeon in the world
coz you made a place in
my heart without cutting
and spilling blood. I am lucky
to have a lovely friend like you...
These sms are short and sweet. Coming back to computer problems, i have a new problem. Remember the error that i was telling: c:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
This is weird problem, i have the patch for this problem, which is nothing but a proper autoexec.nt file that i have to save in the systems32 folder. Once i do that the 16-bit DOS appliction works, the trouble starts whenever i reboot the system. I get the same error message. I have to once again repatch it, what could be the problem? could be because of system restore? i have no idea but i am doing it again and again without knowing the reason.
Any idea?

Another day

One more boring day, nothing interesting happened today as though something always happens. Not much progress as far as the Job hunt is concerned. Same mails I get everyday about the openings but hell some shit happens after I mail them back. Still fingers crossed Cheer up da ( to myself), I got this good SMS which goes like this:
you know why god created
gap between the fingers?
So that some day the one
who is made for you,comes
and fill those gaps by holding
your hand forever.....
Good one isn't it? I am going to get a very heavy Mobile Bill. I cant help it, I talk a lot over the phone. I am trying to control but I dunno when i will.
I saw punch dialogue of Big B :
mard ho tho dard nahi hota
He says this in his typical style(kudos!), thinking of punch dialogoues i cant resist kollywood
Simbu says:
modhalae first yaar poranu mukiyam illa
Last le First yaar varanu mukiyam
varen......
Vijakanth says:
puyal adichu thupichaven irukaan
ana indha thavasi adichu pulaichavanae kidaiyadhu!
naan oru dharam soluvein, orae dharam dhaan soluvein!
There are many more but i dont remember now. Some of them are just too much. If anyone remembers some dubakoor punch dialogues then leave them as comment.
I am signing-off for the day.

Into kitchen

Being alone is boring. I am just bored of TV, all the TV serials have just one motto " cry cry and keep crying" at times its just sick. I wonder how the actors and actresses in these shows manage to cry everyday( glyserene may help but even then) . Vetri and gv stayed with me yesterday night, we were talking for sometime before we hit the bed.Spoke with Bharathi yesterday and today, i always knew that this guy was always confused but now i think even the people around him get confused. Poor fellow as usual is totally confused and i just hope that whatever happens to him, should be for his good. Still no sign of any interview or tests, i am keeping my fingers crossed. I spoke to vomshankar yesterday and he was asking my plans! this guy was my classmate in Swinburne, extremely hard working guy, he worked so hard that he cleared his MS loan debt by doing just part time. Shyam mailed me ( another classmate) he is doing J2EE course in bangalore. Been a while that i spoke with shyam. Vetri said that he will come today, no news from gv so i guess that he is not coming. Have to cook rice and potato side dish. Time to cook. catch up later

Home alone

Yesterday for once, my sleep pattern was like in Australia- sensitve and extremely cautious. I was alone and that could be the reason. Yesterday amma went to S'pore for a week, before she left she told me the list of people who come in the morning- Newspaper man, milk man, lady who brings flowers and and person who comes to clean car. All this happens everyday before 7, all these days i never heard the bell and never had i seen any of them. Today was testing time, i could even hear the person who comes and sweeps the road early in the morning. Do we naturally become alert when left alone or when we are with someone less cautious?i mean where you are with ppl like Nawaz who would sleep even if a truck went by his side ;-), thats definately God's gift but... I wanted to write something yesterday itself, but was helping amma with her packing. Spoke with a few people today-jk is goign to hyd to attend a test, susi in blore and vetri who woke me in the morning and now in the evening. Gv said that he will come tonight, but his plans keep changing so until he comes, i cant be sure about him. I dont have anything intresting to write today.

~nothing~

I am spending almost 2 hours everyday just fixing bugs in my computer. Connecting to the internet is like entering a battle field. Everytime i connect to the internet i find some new process running in task manager. I only can see the processes that show themselves in the task manager, but what about those which i cant detect. Atleast now i realise that even the latest ANTI-VIRUS cant help much coz new malwares and spywares are created every day. When i was i Australia nawaz and myself used to see a lot of unwanted processes running that always were responsible for unwanted pop-ups. We used to delete those processes and find them back the very next day. We actually only deleted the processes and never knew or thought of removing them from the registry(regedit). The latest malware or spyware i saw yesterday was salm.exe this one is a curious fello he has to be definately removed and also many others along with him. The information that i got from a website is as follows:180Search Assistant(salm.exe)is generally installed by some other piece of spyware. This not only displays ads but logs your browsing habits to send back to 180! If you have this you most likely have several other programs that you need to uninstall. This malware could have been the reason that i was getting popups like smiley central. I am not sure whether it was behind the mischief. There was one more process that i found in msconfig which called itself bgtit.exe. I could not find anything about this process, may be even this was a spyware or a malware, coz this is not a system process. In one site its written that if some process in the in WINDOWS directory and it is not a system process then there is a high possibility that it is a malware or a spyware. For the last two days i was not able to open any 16-bit DOS application and got an error as follows: c:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. I found the solution in this site. Meanwhile my close friend whom i was talking about 2-3 days back is still gloomy and that makes me more worried. I was told that he is coming to his home country but i dont have any news about him. One blog that i would recommend to people who happen to read my blogs: site Well thats all from me for the moment i have much work to do. I have to go to JB nagar and photocopy a few things, then i have to study. Whenever i sit in front of the computer to study i start looking at the processes and start doing crapy things.
