Chennai City traffic Police - Doing a good job!

I have been feeling this for sometime. Chennai city traffic police have been doing an excellent job. I dont think any other state or city police are doing so much for traffic regulation. They are at almost all the places, important junctions on holidays and late hours alike.

I took this picture yesterday afternoon (sunday) at kathipara junction, thanks to saturdays rain, this Traffic police is standing in ankle deep murky water regulating traffic. I am not sure anyone else would do this. Hats off and i do salute your hard work and effort.

My humble request please do not curse these people, i do understand there might be few black sheeps but then they are in every industry! Learn to respect them

Though this is what the Police Department is supposed to do, not many do it anyway. It is heart warming to find the Police Department helping out the public.

I am happy to see people start getting recognized for their work. Recognizing their works value and commitment is a big reward for officer. I wish i am there to reward him(appreciate his work in direct).

I am happy to see our generation going in right path (people work getting recognized)

Chennai police are doing very good work. But unfortunately there is very poor response from public. If they cooperate and comply with rules the congestion will come down and many accidents will be prevented.I suggest that police should resort publicity through TV highlighting the statistics of violations, motorists behaviour, the plight of the victims and their families to have better impact on the public.TV has a wide reach.I hope the authorities will consider the suggestion.
